You may be the one who said it first, or you may be the one who heard it said to you and is still catching your breath. You may want this more than you have told anyone, or you may want, more than anything, for it to not be true. You may be six months from filing or six months past a finalization that changed nothing about how you feel walking through your own front door. None of that decides whether there is a place for you here.
What decides it is simpler. A marriage is ending, or has ended, and somewhere inside the paperwork and the custody schedule and the version of the story you have learned to give people at the grocery store, there is a person who is more than what is happening to them. That person is who this is built for.
This is not a course. There is no module to finish and no certificate at the end. This is a walk, guided, through what is actually happening to you underneath the process, so the court gets to decide the property and the calendar and nothing else about who you are becoming.
Who Is Doing the Walking
It matters, and it is worth naming plainly before anything else. The one who chose to leave carries something different than the one who is being left, and both of those are different again from the marriage that ended so slowly neither of you could say for certain who let go first. This work does not ask you to justify which one you are. It only asks you to stop pretending you are carrying something lighter than you actually are.
If your divorce involves questions of covenant, faithfulness, and what a marriage before God actually requires, the series at Vows sits alongside this work and speaks directly to that ground. You do not need to have those questions to belong here. If you do, that is where to bring them.
Find Your Door
Two paths from here, built separately because the walking is different for each.
For Men
A guided path built for what a man carries through the end of a marriage, and what he is rarely given room to say out loud.
EnterFor Women
A guided path built for what a woman carries through the end of a marriage, and the ground underneath the roles she has been holding.
Enteror, if you are not sure yet which door is yours
A short, honest reflection can help you see where you actually are before you choose. Four minutes, no wrong answers, and a plain read of where it makes sense to begin.
Who Is Doing the WalkingWhat This Is Not
This is not legal advice, and nothing here will tell you how to fight or settle your case. This is not a program that promises your marriage can still be saved, and it is not a program that assumes it cannot be. This is not therapy, and it does not diagnose you. It is a guide walking beside you while you become who you are on the other side of this, whichever side of the walking you are standing on.
