For clinicians
Everything a clinician needs to decide whether the Path to Freedom belongs beside their work
The whole kit goes to your inbox: the briefing, the client authorization template, the client handout, the overview, and the ten one page briefs, in one download. Three short notes follow over the next week, on who the path may suit, how coordination works, and what is not yet known.
A few short emails, then it stops on its own. Unsubscribe whenever you like.
Every document is open. You do not need to sign up to read any of them, and the briefing is the one to start with.
The Path to Freedom was developed by James H. Tippins, founder of The Autonomy Commission, an institute for identity architecture that began in September 2023. The work itself began with his own discovery in 2022.
His formal education includes a bachelor's degree in counseling, a Master of Divinity, a Master of Theological Studies, and a doctorate in applied theology and epistemology. He provided pastoral counseling in addiction and marriage for fifteen years. Since January 2024 he has held the title Autonomy Integrated Life Architect, the practitioner title of this work, and The Autonomy Commission is the body that sets its standard.
The AILA title is currently held only by its originator. Clinicians who are interested in certification are welcome to inquire. The Commission is open to it, and the standard will be opened slowly and narrowly.
What these credentials are not. None of them is a license to practice psychotherapy or any other regulated health profession, and none is offered as one. The Commission describes its work as non clinical identity architecture. The pastoral counseling took place in the context of ministry. A theological and epistemological education shapes how the path reasons about knowing and identity, and it does not qualify anyone to treat a clinical condition. Institutions and dates are provided on request.
The theory behind the path is deposited in the open so that it can be examined and criticized. It states its own limits: it is untested, and self report is the wrong instrument for its central construct. No outcome claims are made.
The work rests on the same principle. Freedom comes from removing what is false, and that begins with not saying false things about the work.
To talk through a client population, a particular case, or a research idea, use the clinician inquiry form and we will reply by email.
